Think Outside the Box

Ever thought what are some things that make us unique? Just being yourself is one of them, another one is thinking outside the box. Thinking outside the box is a way to portray and advertise your uniqueness as well as come up with great ideas that your average friends don't come up with.

Alright, I'm going to give you a riddle...just for fun and let see what you answer with. The riddle goes as follows:

"You are driving down the road in your car on a wild and stormy night. The weather is like a hurricane, with heavy rains, high winds, and lightning flashing constantly. While driving, you come across a partially-covered bus stop, and you can see three people waiting for a bus:

1- An old woman who looks as if she is about to die.
2- An old friend who once saved your life.
3- The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Knowing that you only have room for one passenger in your car, which one would you choose to offer a ride to? And why?"

This question/riddle could be an actual job interview question that is asked, because as we all know they like to pick out individuals that think out of the box and will have a huge, positive impact in the workplace. So what do you think the answer is?

The perfect answer would be: giving the car keys to the old friend to drive the old woman to the hospital, while you wait behind with the perfect partner for the bus.

A very simple answer once you know what it is, but isn't it smart and isn't this thinking outside the box. You don't need to be the one driving the car. An individual thinking inside the box would assume that he needs to be driving and so will have to make a very tough decision of who to take along since all three candidates are very much deserving.

Note: Discuss one way you thought of a common topic in a unique way and the impact of your thought(s)!
